Student Support Service
Proctorial System: Provides guiding & counselling students through proctorial grouping system, each group consisting of 18-20 students under a proctor. 1. Information and Career Guidance Cell (ICGC) 2. Students’ Welfare Cell 3. Students’ Union (B.B.K.C.S.U.) 4. Poor students’ Aid Fund 5. Departmental Library 6. National Service Scheme Scholarship and other Financial Assistance/ Awards/ Incentives for students, Apart from the National Merit Scholarship, State Merit Scholarship and SC/ ST/OBC Scholarship various departments and faculty members offer financial assistance/ awards to those students under various conditions as detailed below:
A) Department of Assamese : Awards cash prize of Rs. 500/- to those who secure 60 % or above marks in Assamese Honours in B.A. qualifying examination.
B) Department of Bodo: Provides financial support of Rs. 200/- to B.A. qualifying students who secure 70 % or above marks in Bodo Major and Rs. 500/- to those who secure “Letter Marks” in H.S. qualifying examination.
C) Department of Economics: Provides financial support of Rs. 500/- to the student who secure highest marks in Economics Honours in B.A. qualifying examination subject to a minimum of 55 % marks and Rs. 500/- to each of those students who secure “Letter Marks” in H.S. final examination.
D) Department of Education: Dr. Runumi Bhagabati, HOD, Department of Education, offers cash award of Rs. 1000/- to every student of the college who secures 60 % or above marks in B.A. qualifying examination.
E) Department of History : Awards Rs. 500/- cash who secures 60 % or above in B.A. qualifying examination.
F) Department of Political Science: Awards Rs. 1000/- to each student who secures ‘letter marks’ and First Class in H.S. and B.A. qualifying examination respectively.
G) Department of Philosophy: Provides Rs. 1000/- to each student who secures at least 60 % marks in Philosophy Honours in Final Examination and Rs. 500/-to each student of H.S. second year who secure ‘letter marks’ in Logic & Philosophy in the qualifying examination.
H) Department of Sanskrit: Prof. Mira Barman offers financial support of Rs. 300/- to those students who obtain ‘letter marks’ in Sanskrit in H.S. qualifying examinations and award of Rs 1000/- is provided by Associate Professor Mira Barman, Deptt. of Sanskrit to student(s) who secure first class in Sansrkit Honours in B.A final examination.
